Although Arthur Morris and Bill Brown came from slightly different cricketing eras, and in fact, only opened the Australian innings twice together, they have much in common. Their Test averages are remarkably similar, they both captained Australia and both served in the 2nd World War, coming out of that to join Don Bradman's Ashes tour of 1948. Both then, wear that cricketing title of the highest distinction - Invincible. The central photograph is a specially created composite photograph of Bill Brown and Arthur Morris walking out to open the innings. This is the photograph that has been individually hand-signed by Bill Brown and Arthur Morris. In the photo on the left Bill Brown plays a delicate late cut. The photo on the right shows Arthur Morris driving during his innings of 196 during the 5th Test, England Vs Australia, Kennington Oval, London, Tuesday August 17, 1948.
